How Men & Women Use Social Media [Infographic]

Ever wonder what men and women want from social media? Considering that now over 150 million Americans use social media, understanding the demographics is important for companies who are looking to invest in various social media channels. Luckily, the infographic below, which comes from DigitalFlashNYC, helps us review these statistics in a visual experience.

The data shows that women are far more active in social media, however, men are still stronger on certain social networking sites. While Pinterest is known to attract predominantly female users, they also make up 64% of Twitter, 58% of Facebook users, and 60% of Zynga users. On the other hand, men have a stronger presence on Reddit (84%), LinkedIn (63%) and Google+ (71%). See more below:
